350miller Posted August 6, 2005 Report Posted August 6, 2005 I was riding for about a half hour the other day; jumped my driveway in 4th gear hit the brakes and it killed on me. I got no spark. All the wires look fine. Took off the crank cover and a little water came out. Its killed on me a few times before this when i let off the gas. Coil? Stator? How can i narrow down whats wrong? Any grounds i can check? Quote
350miller Posted August 9, 2005 Author Report Posted August 9, 2005 Lights work when i kick it over, so the stator should be fine. I have a weak spark every once an a while know. Does this sound like i need a new coil? Quote
Dunsmoor86 Posted August 9, 2005 Report Posted August 9, 2005 Mine had no spark at all, pulled the cover off water came out, lights still worked but the side that the stator makes your spark was shot on mine. I ordered a new stator from Ricky Stator. Quote
