im thinking about starting to get into the motor in my shee, im thinking about a 420 stroker motor..does anyone have one?? i m looking for as much info on these 420 strokers as i can get..hows the low end? top end ,,reliabilty ..can i run fmf fattys? bla bla bla..what are the pros and cons of the big bore strokers..and can i do most of the work myself or dores it need to be sent out to a shop some place?

i realy want a land rocket..but i dont want to lose the reliability

any info you guys have would be a great help

I had one, you can't do it yourself it has to be sent out. you can get a good ported bike to run as well as a stroker, the stroked motor is just easier to ride ( less shifting ). I ride mostly sand and dirt road, my bike is a 450 stroker, but I've had 350's run close up the hill. reliabilty goes to the builder and porter.

any idea on the speed you get out of that motor?? educated guess even.. :bolt:

my motor? fast really fast. high 40's pulling choke cherry in Idaho, which is alot steeper than anything else I've ridden on the west caost, thats 4 gear and 13/40.

Save yourself some cash and forget the big bore part of the stroker equation. You can build a ton of power everywhere on just stock cylinders and 4mm stroker crank. More speed than you'll ever need and a ton of bottom end power if ported for that purpouse and reliable as well......Jim
