Handyman Posted August 2, 2005 Report Posted August 2, 2005 oK people now that I have the enf=gine break in almost done I have found a new problem at higher speeds. It seems like when I'm in 3rd, 4th gear my left cylinder seems to cut put and when I romp on it it fires fine and I have to hold on for dear life so I won't get left behind. I switch plug wires from one side to the the other and it seemed to not be as bad. It almost felt like they both cut a little...and it also seemed like the problem changd sides. Any help is really needed so I can finish the engine break in process. Quote
stclark816 Posted August 2, 2005 Report Posted August 2, 2005 Id check for a clogged jet or possibly an air leak. Could very well be electrical as well. Just some suggestions.. Quote
Handyman Posted August 3, 2005 Author Report Posted August 3, 2005 I doubt it's an air leak since it moved to both sides after I swapped the spark plug wires.... Quote
Handyman Posted August 3, 2005 Author Report Posted August 3, 2005 Sounds electrical man 400333[/snapback] Yeah I think the same thing....Looking for a coil but can't find any online....KNow fo any websites here I can get one. Quote
switchblade Posted August 3, 2005 Report Posted August 3, 2005 You need to pull your boots off your coils and clean them them crimp them down a little. when coils fail they quit all together. I bet you just need a better conection to your plugs. Quote

switchblade Posted August 3, 2005 Report Posted August 3, 2005 If you pulled your motor out for the topend. I would check and make sure all the wires form the stator are tight and all the ground wires are clean and tight agenst metal. Quote
endofitall9 Posted August 3, 2005 Report Posted August 3, 2005 I had the same problem. I will say its electrical also. check you wiring harness, thats where i found my problem to be, also i would test your coil and pickup Quote
