Hello, I have a 2005 stock banshee except for the pro-flow air filter kit. I have a noss cool head ready to put on along with 18cc domes but i was wondering what kind of pipes would work. I ride trails and sometimes race. 1500 elevation. What size jets to use. My friend has FMF Gnarley pipes and Powercore 2 silencers and i was wanting something that is a little bit louder and has more top end. Please help me out with this and let me know what else would help me speed up the shee. thank you very much,

Well it all depends on the riding you do. If you drag race I would go with something like shearers, rockets, or cpis...If you trail ride alot or play ride I would go with the fmf fatties or pro circuits.

The fmf fatties are going to be just as loud as the gnarly, but you can shorten the silencer to make it louder. Toomey t5's would be another good choice, they are loud and work well with porting. Toomey t6's are a good choice if your leaving the engine stock. There are alot of other good pipes...use the search button for alot more info  .

does anyone else think 18cc. domes are a little too much for a basiclly stock shee?

I would think you would at least need your timming advanced and run a mix of 91 and 110 octane fuel to avoid detination. Right?

Also, in my opinion, t5's would fit the bill perfectly.

I was talking to a builder around me and he said the most he would run on a stock engine was 20cc domes and +3 timing on 93. He said that anything with more compression than that wouldent be good on a stock crank without welding it.
