trex banshee Posted July 21, 2005 Report Posted July 21, 2005 my brother just got his first banshee last night. it runs pretty good once started but when it is cold it has to be pulled started every time. haven't comp. check yet but by feel kickstarter it has good comp. anyways after the first start it will start on first or second kick. all i know is it has paul turner pipes pro design cool head(don't know size of domes) with stock carbs and airbox. what size mains and pilots should it have. bigboybanshee Posted July 21, 2005 Report Posted July 21, 2005 If he has the stock air box with a K&N filter, then he should be close with 280 or 290 mains and a stock pilot. Those jets are what my banshee was running when I had Paul Turners Quote
trex banshee Posted July 21, 2005 Author Report Posted July 21, 2005 all right thanks i will go see what is in the bike it needs a little tlc but it was traded straig up for a 99 sportsman 500. Quote
sredish Posted July 22, 2005 Report Posted July 22, 2005 does it help or not to use the choke when cold starting? Also, be sure to check the compression before you go messing with the carbs. You could screw with the jetting to find out that's not the problem, then have two problems. Quote
slowpokebanshee Posted July 27, 2005 Report Posted July 27, 2005 what elevation? and with or without airbox lid? Quote
