YB350 Posted July 17, 2005 Report Posted July 17, 2005 (edited) I have a 1996 shee and iv just rebuilt it and we have namura pistons and well we seem to be having alot of problems with this (hint dont buy used) well heres my question if you guys can help when i start it and let it run for a couple of seconds its reving starts to go higher and higher and than it starts just screeming and when i feel the exhaust i got smoke and pressure comin out one but not the other than it revs and like switches and sometimes there both fireing perfet, is it miss fireing and needs a new CDI box or reeds or is it just my carb but i need help in the next 2 weeks gotta get this fixed going to the mountains and driven down there but please if you can, tell me anything u can every idea is good right about now Edited July 17, 2005 by YB350 Quote

hittintrees srh Posted July 17, 2005 Report Posted July 17, 2005 dude check your reeds, a friend of mine had a similer problem with his shee and it turned out to be a bed reed- do you have stock or aftermarket reeds? start simple- then work your way up to the expancive repairs. good luck Quote
YB350 Posted July 19, 2005 Author Report Posted July 19, 2005 hey thanks for all your help i called a yamaha dealer here and they told me stock half to be put in a certain way, like i was just out tryin to figure out was wrong and i started it and didnt seem like anything was comin out so i put my hand near the back exhaust and unburnt gas came out and barely if any pressure out so i dont no and its been freshly rebuilt so i dont think the motor is gone already but if u can help please Quote

YB350 Posted July 21, 2005 Author Report Posted July 21, 2005 thanks to all you that helped all i did was took it to a local yamaha dealer and they got it work it was the sliders in the carb were mixed and it needed new plugs well not new they were brand new but needed bigger one so thanks alot guys Quote
