i just bot a 1996 shee and when i got it it was a wreck but was well hidden i dont no much im just getting into quading and this shee is my first and the guy had it warmed up and everything wen i went there anyways i have pretty much completly rebuilt the quad ground up and got into a bit of an arguement with my friend sayin i can only get about 3000$ for my quad and im guessin about 4000 atleast so i was wondering wat u guys thought its not done yet i got a graphics kit comin in for it soon so tell me wat u guys think k i dont no y it wont let me post pics can anyone help me

thanks to all you that helped all i did was took it to a local yamaha dealer and they got it work it was the sliders in the carb were mixed and it needed new plugs well not new they were brand new but needed bigger one so thanks alot guys

is there supposed to be a gap between the reeds? im sorry for all the question this is my first shee an im learning so if u guys can help it will be greatly apreciated and before wednesday going quadin plzz and thanks

hey thanks for all your help i called a yamaha dealer here and they told me stock half to be put in a certain way, like i was just out tryin to figure out was wrong and i started it and didnt seem like anything was comin out so i put my hand near the back exhaust and unburnt gas came out and barely if any pressure out so i dont no and its been freshly rebuilt so i dont think the motor is gone already but if u can help please

I have a 1996 shee and iv just rebuilt it and we have namura pistons and well we seem to be having alot of problems with this (hint dont buy used) well heres my question if you guys can help when i start it and let it run for a couple of seconds its reving starts to go higher and higher and than it starts just screeming and when i feel the exhaust i got smoke and pressure comin out one but not the other than it revs and like switches and sometimes there both fireing perfet, is it miss fireing and needs a new CDI box or reeds or is it just my carb but i need help in the next 2 weeks gotta get this fixed going to the mountains and driven down there but please if you can, tell me anything u can every idea is good right about now

Nightrider so you are running .0025 -.0029 piston skirt clearance ? do you know if that is what the factory recommends ??

We just bought some Namura pistons so all of this is good to hear but we are going ahead with the rebuild anyways , one question does any one know the piston skirt clearance , that info did not come with the pistons and they are going in for the rebore this monday . we have a 1996 banshee and the pistons are 66mm....thanx
