Handyman Posted July 16, 2005 Report Posted July 16, 2005 (edited) Ok people I am going to put in a top end kit since my compression is non existant. I need any info you can give. I am thinking about going with a high compression piston but not sure if the stock head can handle it. So any suggestions on brand names or just about anything I will need is welcome. Thanks in advance. Edited July 16, 2005 by Handyman Quote
Fireman-hott Posted July 16, 2005 Report Posted July 16, 2005 You usually buy an aftermarket head and smaller domes for higher compression, I dont even know if they make high compression pistons. But I would go with WSM pistons. My personal prefernce. What I ran in my 404 sleeved motor, 420 trinity sleeved/ported motor and now in my cub motor. Quote
superchicken Posted July 16, 2005 Report Posted July 16, 2005 i would stay away from a high compression piston like vito's.to me there not proven like wiseco's,even though there made by them.if this is your first top end i would keep it simple.pro lites, shave your head(this will bump your compression) and send your jugs to get bored and ported if you have the loot to do it all at once.
