what is the advantages from stock to this bolt on

hotrods 5mm Longer Rod, +4mm stroker, with there 64mm stroker pistons

will I still have have bottom end and lots of top end

you will have more HP through the entire curve, and yes, it will be very noticeable

you can expect a 10 to 15 percent increase depending on your set up, but I would spend my money on porting first. You will more power gains out of a good port job.

i just talked to a builder and he told me that i would have to get it ported to get the full advantage of that stroker. Is this true?

The more mods that you have done to your motor the more the crank will help.

yes thats true. should you choose a 7mm, those do very well on stock ports. but the 4mm's need to have the ports altered to reap the real benefits. its got something to do with port timing, blah blah blah......................
