Hey guys Im trying to decide if I should get a Banshee. No Im not asking you if I should get a Banshee or not I just want opinions on what you guys think of it. Im 5'3" and im 14. Anyone out here my age ride a Banshee? What are the goods and bads about it? Is it good on a MX track, hows the suspension? How is it on rutty hills? If you guys could help me out it would be greatly appreciated Thanks.

Oh boy... this is bound to become a very long thread....

Words do not do it justice. You need a test ride to understand.

The Banshee may not be the fastest thing on the showroom floor any more, but for the same money in after market modifications it can easily reclaim the title.

They can be adjusted for MX, but I still don't think there weight distribution or unpredictable power band makes them the best machine for jumping. I don't see much of a problem with ruts on trails as long as you don't mind going fast.

This ATV is aptly named. I suggest you look up Banshee in the dictionary sometime.

well, at 14 it'd be illegal for you to buy a new banshee at a dealer somewhere, but you could probably get a used one without any trouble.

And just like STLBILL said, words are hard to describe it. The best thing to do would be to ride one and see if its right for you. I love mine and wouldn't trade it for anything else.

WORD. I remember my first banshee ride, hit the powerband wheels popped up then did it through the next 3 gears :whoa: thats what hooked me.You can turn a banshee into whatever you want it to be. If you just look around theres mx banshees, drag banshees, hell probably even hunting banshees. Theres just WAY to many aftermartket mods and not enough money with a banshee

I am not a big fan of Dirt Wheels Magazine but in the latest issue they have the very first report on the original Banshee. Spend the 5 or 6 bucks and pick up the mag and read that article. Then if you get a chance, ride one and you will understand what the Banshee is all about. :bolt::cheers::dance::whoa::clap:

Like the others said...you can turn the Banshee into just about any thing you want to suit your riding style and terrian.

Think of it as the Chevrolet 350 of ATV's. The modifications you can make to it are almost unlimited. Actually only limited by how much you can spend on it.

The aftermaket for this bike is unreal, and if you can think of it, chances are someone out there makes it.

im 16 got the shee when i was 13 the shee was a drag bike at the time and i converted it into a mx bike i dont think it would be bad for you to get one but if your a hard core mxer go w/ a 450 or a 250r jumping will be alot easyer but as said before you can turn the bike into anything you want

Ok thanks guys for helpin me out. Im still tryin to decide on a 250r, Blaster or Banshee. Everyone says ill kill myself on a Banshee but i have 4 yeras of eperience on a 250ex

I'm 15, and I love it. Had it for 1 week today. Believe me.. you do NOT want a blaster. Haven't ridden a 250r, but from what I hear, the banshee is king. And being 5'3? Oh well.. it'll be something grow on.

The pimp effect of a banshee ALONE is sure to get you laid. I've gotten more pussies in a week than the ASPCA. No actually I haven't. But rest assured, I could...

you should probably save up several hundred, or even thousands of monies. these things are real good at draining bank accounts. :bolt:
