x86 Posted June 17, 2005 Report Posted June 17, 2005 Well i just picked up a banshee (stock) on wed, a 1990. Well it ran just fine, now, it takes a lot of kicks to start it, and i have to use the choke. It also runs way better with the choke on. It also wont sit and idle, i have to keep givin it gas. Im thinking its a carb/gas issue, any suggestions? Quote

bigboybanshee Posted June 17, 2005 Report Posted June 17, 2005 I would check the compression if you haven't done so already. Hard starting and rough idling can be a sign of needing a rebuild. Quote
x86 Posted June 17, 2005 Author Report Posted June 17, 2005 carbs and topend were just rebuily by previous owner.. i bumped the idle up via the throttle cable thing and its running better and starting first kick. Weird with that said, who wants to go riding in northern MN? Quote

I know sometimes my idle screws would "vibrate" themselves out of adjustment on my carbs...could have been the same for you Quote

They arent backing out any more. that will help with um vibrating out as well. Quote
