blueshee03 Posted June 9, 2005 Report Posted June 9, 2005 that should do it.be careful of those lightened flywheels though,if it had to much taken off or is'nt in balance it could be a bad experience. Quote

It is something I have not done yet. Mainly due to the fact that none of the guys that I ride with have one and I have not seen or experienced the effects of one. Just curious, so post after the install. How far do you plan on advancing the timing? Out. Quote
slowpokebanshee Posted June 9, 2005 Report Posted June 9, 2005 yeah you need the specs for the pick up, can't say for sure, but maybe like .021" clearance? check the manual....and I did the same thing all at once, but also added a milled head .030" and went about eight degrees... Quote
macgillivary Posted June 9, 2005 Author Report Posted June 9, 2005 i will post up how i like it but i may not have all the parts for about 2-3 weeks ya i was thinkin 4 degrees i got it piped, K&N, mikuni 35's, modquad head 21cc domes and thats it 4 seems to be the popular number so im going to try that anyone else think 4 is right for my setup? That will definitely take away the throttle response and smooth idle on an unported motor. 28's will do ya good for a while, until you start modifying the internals. Quote
macgillivary Posted June 9, 2005 Author Report Posted June 9, 2005 haha i know 35's are way to big, i didnt find they did much harm though, but they sure do give alot more power, with a port job it would be sweet, at sea level im running 310 mains probably should of been 320's, i wanna get it running on 340's or more i got a really good deal on them so i couldnt pass them up porting is in the process, my bike blew a piston about 2 or 3 weeks ago so while its apart im gettin a mild port done to it should be screaming when i get all the work finished to it Quote
