jeepman137 Posted June 9, 2005 Report Posted June 9, 2005 (edited) ok, this guy at work, he wants to do these mods to my carbs, he says it works wonders, and he showed me his nozzles that he suppsoedly did it to, didnt really notice a difference, but i would like to know if it works... he said you you take the main nozzles out of the carbs, and i guess there are holes in the sides, and he says you can take one bit bigger than what the hole is, and basically "bore" the hole out, and he says that it makes a significant difference in top end... thanks in advance, Chris im probably in the wrong forum for this, so if i am, sorry, and please move it... jeepman137 Posted June 9, 2005 Author Report Posted June 9, 2005 bump.... anybody know? this guy told me that he will give me his main nozzles that are already done and he will take mine that arent done, so im wondering if he is trying to fuck me over or something... Quote
bigboybanshee Posted June 9, 2005 Report Posted June 9, 2005 Are you talking about your main jet? If so, drilling them bigger would do the same thing as putting a larger jet in there...if you don't need to rejet, don't do it. Quote
SANDSTAR Posted June 9, 2005 Report Posted June 9, 2005 Why drill out a jet when you could buy them for a couple bucks??? If you drill them, the id numbers will mean nothing. Askin' for trouble, if you ask me. Quote

Askin' for trouble, if you ask me. 379686[/snapback] Doing anything to a carb that involves a drill "one bit size bigger" is trouble in my book. Other than boring the carbs out to the size of the slide, there ain't much else you can do. Quote
