I am new to the banshee so I dont know much. I have read that it helps to advance the timing. Would it hurt a stock shee? If not is it hard to do? The most I have done is add pipes and jets. I am getting the 68mm cubs with new carbs, intakes, air intake system, pistons, head, and crank work. I want to advance it then but how much. Would like to try it stock first. Anyone help a new guy out :shrugani:

Pick up a Ricky Stator timing plate for about 30 bucks I think. If you are going the cub route, then you for sure need to get one. I think alot of guys are runnin +6 or +7 on their cub motors.

I agree go to Rickystator.com and get the number to call. They are $35.00 + shipping, its like $42.00 and it was on my door two days later.

You are going to need to also pick up a flywheel puller $9.95, because the timing plate is behind the flywheel. You are also probably going to have to use a file to shave the edges of it (the timing plate) so it turns freely, no big deal though. While you have the flywheel off you may want to send it to Boonman, dlnoss, or Banshee Worx to have it lightened. Then hold on :bolt: , not quite like the Cub motor. good luck
