hairdoc1001 Posted May 20, 2005 Report Posted May 20, 2005 Hey I'm new to this message board from the UK! I've ordered some FMF Fatty's, Powercore's and a K&N Filter. Gonna drop the K&N in the stcok airbox but remove the snorkel. What kind of jetting settings shall I be aiming for? The engine is stock only other mods are a Motion Pro twist grip. Your suggestions will be greatly appreciated! Many Thanks Brad Quote
kw04 Posted May 22, 2005 Report Posted May 22, 2005 i think i had a 290 main stock pilot in mine with the fatties and filter. that was before i rebuilt ithope that helps a little. Quote
J.J. Posted May 22, 2005 Report Posted May 22, 2005 Welcome to the HQ Brad! With the same mods at sea level I ran 280 mains with the lid, 300 with no lid. Needle clip in the middle, 27.5 pilots. Quote
race-a-holic Posted May 24, 2005 Report Posted May 24, 2005 A 280 should get you in the ball park.If you don't ride in mud,I would get the pro-design kit w/k&n air filter and get rid of the air lid.I personally like totally getting rid of the air box. You'll have to jet up though.Let that banshee breath. 03bansheeLE Posted May 25, 2005 Report Posted May 25, 2005 yeah, taking the lid off is a lot better then just the snorkel and if you do not ride in mud then taking the whole airbox off and drilling a couple holes in the plate ontop the filter and the air box front with a couple bolts chould hold the filter on. This will let your shee breath a lot better. Welome to HQ, im pretty new aswell. Darren Quote
hairdoc1001 Posted May 28, 2005 Author Report Posted May 28, 2005 Thanks for the replies. I've got the exhausts fitted with 260 mains and stock pilots. There seems to be a bog at low revs so gonna put 30 piloys on, thats what fmf recommend. I've got my K&N with the pro design flanche to fit so gonna go upto 300 mains to compensate for the filter and no lid. Cheers Brad Quote
