sampleba Posted April 29, 2005 Report Posted April 29, 2005 Is there a correct way to start a banshee, Ive taken mine in because i thought there was somthing wrong with it. They kept saying there was nothing wrong at all. It fouls plugs otherwise and backfires. Ive had dirtbikes and quads all my life, but this is really the hardest to figure out! Quote
locogato11283 Posted April 29, 2005 Report Posted April 29, 2005 i usually just kick mine if it fouls plugs its too rich. when does it foul them? when its idling or at wide open throttle? if its hard starting you might need to be a little richer on your pilot jet. give us some more info. Quote
bigboybanshee Posted April 29, 2005 Report Posted April 29, 2005 Was the shop able to get it started? I say you probably need to just kick it harder Quote
sampleba Posted April 29, 2005 Author Report Posted April 29, 2005 It seems to take a long amount of time to warm up and if it does then its fine. When you let it warm up, it either needs to be reved up quite high or fether the choke if you are lucky it wont foul out plugs. Quote
sampleba Posted April 29, 2005 Author Report Posted April 29, 2005 Yes the shop started it and said there was nothing wrong so i figured that i was doing somthing wrong. Quote
locogato11283 Posted April 29, 2005 Report Posted April 29, 2005 pull the bowls off the carbsand see what your jetting is. sounds like your pilot is too rich. to get the best answer here we need to know your jetting as it sits right now. Quote
