Big Mike NY Posted April 27, 2005 Report Posted April 27, 2005 I have a 2003 Banshee, my current mod list looks like this: Cool head (pump gas domes) V-Force Reeds ProFlow intake / K&N FMF pipes and silencer Will the addition of a high compression dome and some race gas make that much of a difference in performance? I'm talking as high of compression that I can go, like 17 domes. What type of race gas will I need? Will 108 octane do the job? Quote
ellison445 Posted April 27, 2005 Report Posted April 27, 2005 I hope your crank is welded!!! Big Mike NY Posted April 27, 2005 Author Report Posted April 27, 2005 I hope your crank is welded!!! 360998[/snapback] No, it is not. In order to run high compression domes you need to weld the crank? Also, is it worth it or not to run the high compression domes? Quote
wayfst Posted April 28, 2005 Report Posted April 28, 2005 i ran 18 domes at sea level pushing 20 horses of nitrous on a stock crank everyday for a week, never twisted the crank. your clutch is going to slip long before your crank moves. Quote

The high compression domes should make a nice difference, specially in the low end. 108 should be more than enough depending on what domes you run, youd probly be safe with 50/50 race gas, 93 pump, up to a 19, maybe even 18 cc dome Quote
Big Mike NY Posted April 28, 2005 Author Report Posted April 28, 2005 Thanks guys! I'm not going to open up the bottom end just to weld the crank. I will run the high compression domes and see what happens. If something happens to the crank, its just an exuse for me to open it up and go bigger!!!! Will I need to rejet after going with high comp. domes? Who makes the best domes? Quote
