no sound from pipes?

i got to see a banshee this weekend that was handing asses out at the drags no visible giveaways motor wise besides a cool head and a set of sst's but when he would race the shee made hardly any noise at all the exhaust smelled real purdy any ideas?????

the smell was probably race gas or some kinda klotz premix ( smells reallly good )

If he was running drag pipes, he could have had the weld on silencers, but even then they are still loud and nothing you could call stealthy.

were all the other draggers using out of fram drag pipes?? cos they are probably quite a bit louder than the silenced sst's??

He was probalby on the brand new 2006 model with the magnetic propulsion system. Works pretty well as long as you have somebody strong to hold the big magnet at the place you are heading to.

Have you ever been to a drag race were they have serious drag cars then they let the stock cars on the track too. They sound silent after hearing the drag cars.
