banshdog Posted April 25, 2005 Report Posted April 25, 2005 I know that this topic has been posted before. Want to get some opinions. I have read that there is a spring that can be removed which will reduce stiffness in the throttle. I was considering buying the longer thumb throttle as well. 1. Who has removed the spring in the throttle housing? Does this give a noticeable difference? Any problems? (throttle more likely to stick?) 2. Who has the longer thumb throttle? How much difference will i notice with this? Like this one ----> http://64.62.162.3/store/detail.asp?PRODUCT_ID=TT1-1 3. Any other recommendations, parts, or mods that I should consider? Thanks. rzcolobanshee Posted April 25, 2005 Report Posted April 25, 2005 1. You don't take out the whole spring, just cut off a little to make it softer 2. Get a twist throttle 3. Quit being a pussy and ride till it doesn't hurt Quote

I never had problems with my thumb throttle even with the old stock carbs. Another option is to go with a single carb setup. I hardly even tell I'm pushing the throttle on my 33pwk. Quote
odaen Posted April 25, 2005 Report Posted April 25, 2005 ride more often, or get one of those longer thumb throttles from cascade or modquad. Quote
trail rider Posted April 25, 2005 Report Posted April 25, 2005 Your thumb throttle is not stiff, maybe your just soft? J/K I dont really see why people think that banshee's have stiff throttles? When I first got my banshee I thought it was fairly stiff the first couple of rides. After that I didn't even pay attention to it. Quote
stu Posted April 25, 2005 Report Posted April 25, 2005 2. Get a twist throttle 359779[/snapback] yup..thats the one! stu Quote
