420 RACING Posted April 25, 2005 Report Posted April 25, 2005 Heli-coil, go to your local automotive store Murrays, pepboys. And get a heli coil kit don't oversize it do it right. bring the bolt to get the right kit. very simple to install. Good luck!!! Quote
badshee98 Posted April 25, 2005 Report Posted April 25, 2005 I used a longer bolt. Next time I pull my cylinders, I'm gonna fix it correctly. Quote

MonkeyBoy Posted April 27, 2005 Report Posted April 27, 2005 All I did was clean up the treads for the stock size. I did not use a larger bolt. I did use longer bolts. As long as it is not boogered up deep into the intake, you will be OK. Yes, it did happen to me. Quote
chris642 Posted April 29, 2005 Report Posted April 29, 2005 yup, same thing happend to me on 2 of them. i just bought a tap with an identical pattern and retapped it, no new bolt needed. if you want i can check what size it is if its printed on there. i would just send it to you, but i wouldnt be suprised if it happened again.
