Me and some buds went riding at a local atv park and saw two ppl get life flighted out...it was just pure stupidity though...i mean i feel bad but NO helmet, riding 2 ppl on a 400 ex and trying to jump a double? recipe for disaster any way you look at it.....i know the girl had a compound fracture right above her ankle and not sure what happened to the guy but he was out cold and i never saw him move a muscle the whole time he was on the ground...so it was a interesting day...2 helicopters, 3 ambulances and 3 firetrucks.....yet another reason why i ALWAYS wear my helmet even if im just dicking around, i know a helmet would not have saved the girl any time i step on the track im decked out in riding gear...a pair of boots would probably saved her....

I agree wholeheartedly!

According to the doctors I am writing this because of the safety gear - specifically a helmet and chest protector. Two years ago I broke my back in four places and was raced to the trauma center.

Not my idea of fun. :(

The bruises and bones mostly healed. I still have some nerve damage, but the memories of that day persist. I tried to ride again, but just couldn't so I traded her for a waverunner last year. I hang out here because I like the type of people who ride Banshee's. I just don't have the guts to be one any more.

As an mx rider and avid Banshee rider, I shake my head everytime I see someone without a helmet. At the track I have never seen anyone out that did not have a helmet on. And why would you ever try any jump, let alone a MX double with a passenger? I hope the guy is ok but that was just stupid.
