HELP!

I WENT RIDING ALL FOR A FEW HOURS SATURDAY...BEFORE I WAS READY TO PACK IT UP, I DECIED TO DO SOME DONUTS IN THE DIRT, SO I DID LIKE 2 OR 3 THEN SHOT OFF IN A STRAIGHT LINE, AND ON MY WAY BACK TO THE TRUCK THE BIKE JUST DIED....WONT START...SO I PUT SOME NEW PLUGS IN, AND STILL NO GO...SO I HAD MY BROTHER PULL START ME STARTING OFF IN SECOND AND I GOT THE BIKE TO START FOR LIKE 2 MINUTES AND IT KEPT MAKING POPING SOUNDS AND THEN IT DIED..I COULD SMELL GAS PRETTY GOOD TOO.....WHEN I GOT HOME I DRAINED THE CARBS OF ANY EXCESS GAS THAT COULD HAVE BEEN IN THERE AND IT JUST WONT START STILL.....ANY IDEALS????

 

BTW MY BANSHEE IS AN 1987 WITH Toomey T5 pipes, 32mm carbs, k&n air filter,booster bottle, cool heads by pro design....

hows the compression

how did your plugs look when you changed them... sounds like you ran lean and melted the frount of your pistons by the exhaust port. do a compression check. good luck

stock head should be around 130psi at sea level

TORS? if you still have it. did you clean the carbs? check the main for any dirt?

one time when i was doin donuts my shee died. i pushed that fucker for a mile before i started lookin it over real carefully. come to find out a coil wire had come off.

I'd say check your compression as well & then go from there.

you need about 100 to fire. Make sure you hold the throttle wide open you run the test.
