Screw the center of the puller out as far as you can. Then screw the puller into the flywheel (you must have removed the nut prior to this) the puller is reverse threaded as I said before. You need to screw it in as far as possible something like half an inch. Then you screw the center of the puller in and it will seat against the end of the crank. Keep applying pressure and the puller will pull the flywheel off of the crank.
