Well My Dodge Ram broke down and I am probably selling it. But I am looking for a truck, I need one for my mowing business and ofcourse the shee. I wanna find a Toyota Tacoma. They would be a hell of a lot better on gas+ more reliable. I am 17 so my dad is basically buying the truck. We know a guy that owns a car lot and he is looking to get us a good deal if we cant find a truck around here. But my dad wants to spend more $ to try to get something newer and American, like a Dodge Dakota or something, but I would rather get a Toyota cause I think it would hold up better. The Toyotas are a little higher priced but I think it would be better, he is thick headed and wont listen but... I will be happy with anything as long as it will haul my mower for my business but...what u guys think?

Yea they are, definitely cant get a new one though. I dont like the new style of some of the cars though, I think in the new Toyotas they have that circular stuff around the dash and all. Im not into that much but... Some of them look too futuristic or something, cant explain it, just like the old styles of some cars better..

Thanks loco.

get a 1999 chevy 2500 and up. New body styles started then, plus i have one and its badass.. 6.0l and stick a supercharger on it and you've got 400+ horses. Just don't get halfton trucks, and dont get a ford. :yank: My 1985 chevy does the job just fine too... :headbang:

My truck of choice is a Powerstroke Ford. Got one and love it. But, for a first, reliable truck that you don't have to dick with, a Toyota is a wise choice. Plenty of power to haul a small landscape trailer. My Ford is Simply awesome, but probably a little out of the price range... I wouldn't go with a Chevy. If you do go with a Ford, do NOT get a 90ish F-250 with the Twin I-beam front end. It's junk. You have to make a call here. Either go one ton, (full size) and plan ahead for your lanscape/mowing business or go with a compact pickup. They perform the same as a 1/2 ton and do the same job.

I picked this up for, get this, 1200 bux. New motor, hubs, tires, clutch, rebuilt trans, brakes, exhaust system with headers, springs, shocks. The thing drives straight as an arrow, steering wheel dont pull at all, shifts great. Just a great little 4X4. It needs a new radiator and windshield, thats it. My point is there are good deals out there, just take your time.
