quad4me Posted April 6, 2005 Report Posted April 6, 2005 need to make new gasket for my parking brake block off..the orig got jacked up. what is the best thing to use?? and where to get it? thanks Quote
bkabina Posted April 6, 2005 Report Posted April 6, 2005 (edited) yama-bond or go to the auto parts store and buy some gasket paper. You could use a piece of cereal box but I don't think it would last long. Edited April 6, 2005 by bkabina Quote
quad4me Posted April 6, 2005 Author Report Posted April 6, 2005 orig seems to be more of a rubber gasket. what do i need to get to cut a new one? Or is the auto zone gasket paper good enough? OH...what sealer, if any do i use? Quote
fixitrod Posted April 6, 2005 Report Posted April 6, 2005 If there's nothing wrong with the brake fluid shouldn't come out anyway. You can just use an rtv or yamabond like bkabina said just to keep junk out. And yes, the cereal box thing is for real. My dad use to make thermostat gaskets that way... lmao. Quote
