dnhyoung Posted April 1, 2005 Report Posted April 1, 2005 My Shee currently has an extended stock swingarm with the stock carrier and adjusters. What I am wondring is the Roundhouse carrier that much better/easier too adjust. I haven't dealt with one, and am looking for some of your opinions, since I am considering upgrading. Also do you guys prefer the round tubing swingarms, or the square tubing ones?? Which ones are stronger? thanks for any input.. Quote
05bansh Posted April 1, 2005 Report Posted April 1, 2005 The roundhouse are 10 times easier to adjust! I havent put one on my shee yet, but its a definate mod for me in the future. Quote
ssanddemon Posted April 1, 2005 Report Posted April 1, 2005 + they save a lb. or 2 of usnprung weight. Not sure about tubing type, but I think round tube is way stonger. Quote
stclark816 Posted April 1, 2005 Report Posted April 1, 2005 8273548927958348957349857304958 times easier than stock set up. PM cotton eyed joe, he sells the conversion. Youll love it. It's the first thing you should do to a banshee when you get one in my opinion. Quote

I was kind of leaning towards possibly a quicksand swing arm, especially since when I get our taxes back, I also want to invest in some of their a-arms, but I am always open to suggestions.. Quote
locogato11283 Posted April 2, 2005 Report Posted April 2, 2005 if u decide to do the conversion let me know. if you talk to stan about it he will recommend that i do it. i have done several of them now. im actually the one that got stan to put that package together... Quote

The chain adjustment is at least 100 times easier with the roundhouse! Quote

I'm sure its as strong as the rectangular tubing other people use. I've had no complaints yet. As as for the looks, I never personally liked the square tubing on the stock swingarm next to the round tubing used for the rest of the frame. It never looked right for me, so when I decided to fabricate swingarms I made it paramount that I use round tubing on my design. I think it just flows better with the bike. Plus, if I need to polish the steel before welding for the chrome process or what ever reason, its easier because I can chuck it up in the lathe. Quote
