brocky2727 Posted March 28, 2005 Report Posted March 28, 2005 just got the shee bored and got wiseco pro lites. In the piston boxes came a green sheet that says for 2 stroke M-series pistons you should drill 2 small holes according to the instructions for lubrication. No where on the boxes does it say that i have M-series pistons, the only M is in the part numbers on the box. Question is, do i have m-series pistons? Im wondering if i should drill these holes or not? thanks Quote

zilladude Posted March 28, 2005 Report Posted March 28, 2005 You usually only need the holes if it has a bridged exhaust port. Quote
BURKE_DADDY Posted March 29, 2005 Report Posted March 29, 2005 You usually only need the holes if it has a bridged exhaust port. 346374 what is a bridged exhaust port? and what does it do? thank you Quote
BdBanshee Posted March 29, 2005 Report Posted March 29, 2005 what is a bridged exhaust port? and what does it do? thank you 346431 It looks like the intake port. They put them in for support so the rings stay on the piston when the ports are wide. Quote
fixitrod Posted March 30, 2005 Report Posted March 30, 2005 Wiseco 795 and standard series pistons don't have a " top " to the rings. A lot of builders say to put the numbers up. This may be by habit or for future to put them back on the same way. In wiseco intructions it even says there is no top or bottom. As far as the holes, I've never added holes to any wiseco pistons in my banshee. Quote
