MotulMonsta Posted March 26, 2005 Report Posted March 26, 2005 You got all your chain guides on? I know the stock rear guide won't fit a 520 D.I.D. O-ring chain. Alot of people remove it, but it is integral to keeping the chain on. If anything is cocked, you can see it if you look real hard..look a the ass end and follow the chain up, it should be straight from sprocket to sprocket. Also measure the rear tires from the footpegs..should be even...you might have a tweaked frame..but more then likely your axle is cocked because the crappy yamaha design will do that. Quote

LegendSS28 Posted March 28, 2005 Report Posted March 28, 2005 another thing that i stupidly did was put the clip on the master link on backwards, so when the chain went through the slider, it popped off and the chain came apart Quote
fixitrod Posted March 30, 2005 Report Posted March 30, 2005 You need to make sure the teeth are straight on the sprocket, there is no play in the axle left and right, no play in the swing arm left and right (swingarm bearings). Also, the motor has to be aligned with the rear and motor mounts tight. Quote
