Elka shocks

I bought elkas from someone on planetsand. They didnt have a spacer or bushing whatever goes there. I tried some rubber washers i brought home from work, but it didnt work out well. The shock will still tilt side to side a couple of degrees. WHat should i put in there? See the pic to see what i am talking about.

you got the ones from the stock shocks? they might work, or call elka direct.

No i dont have the ones from the stockers. I was looking at a microfich online last night, and it only shows the thing on one side.... and it almost looks like it goes into the eye of the shock rather than resting outside.

they have heims, correct? you need to get a small enough in diameter washer to fit on the outside edge of the hole for it to operate correctly. And then you can tighten them all the way. Hopefully i'm talking about the same part, but if not disregard this comment

I called ELKA and talked to someone... He said that it doesnt require anything in there. That doesnt sound right to me though?

They are suppose to pivot a little just make sure there is no up and down movement.

Um....uh..they should be a tight fit, with the spherical bearing being the only means of movement..aka no slop. Your gonna wear shit out pretty quickly if you got slop in there....by the way..You got a real clean machine in that photo!! I like the color.
