Snaded it down, cleaned them with degreaser, then soap, dried them completely, then you spray VERY like coats on at first, this paint is very sensitive to heavy coats, and WILL run and chip easy if not put on right. Then i put Krylon clear on top of that, which made it glossy. Some memebers on here have had problems with it, mine came otu perfect, so problems here. If your fenders will be flexing alot, as in you have front fenders not race cut, then i dotn know. Both my front and back are chopped. If you need any more help, feel free to ask me. Heres what it turned out to be like: Yeha, i know it looks funky the way it sits, no tie rods on it Eric Quote
1800bigk Posted March 25, 2005 Report Posted March 25, 2005 (edited) wow, that looks damn good for a $4 spray can paint job. Were did you find the krylon fusion in silver. I have looked at a couple different walmarts in my area but they dont have that color. I just got done painting my plastics flat black with the fusion paint and it turned out ok. My plastics were pretty ruff to to begin with and I didnt sand or prime them, I just washed them off, but if I did it again I would definatley sand them. Edited March 25, 2005 by 1800bigk Quote
97banshee350 Posted March 25, 2005 Report Posted March 25, 2005 ya that looks awsome and that color frame and a-arms looks sick with it, nice shee Quote
03LE Posted March 25, 2005 Report Posted March 25, 2005 I sanded the chit outa mine, but I had to do some bondo fixn to my fenders. Sanded it down with some ruff stuff to get the shapes I wanted, then with some fine sand paper. I primered mine, but sounds like ya don't have ta. Mine looked sweet primered white lol, I almost didn't paint em yellow. I don't suggest tryin to do an fancy stuff like stripes or two-toneing them, cause I had to paint my thick to get them to look good, so it's hard to get the paint even with two colors Quote
