What should I do for an air box? I bought my shee used, and the previous owner threw out the airbox when he switched to K&N's and just used pre filters. Works fine out on the beach, but I also do trail riding with my shee, and I'm tired of fowling out plugs any time I go through water too fast, especially since it's fun to go through it fast :P.

And would putting an air box on mean having to rejet?

There's usually an air box or 2 in the for sale section, on here, or check out eBay. If nothing else, Make a post in the wanted section, on here for an air box.

As far as rejetting, unless you put the lid an snorkle on too, you shouldnt have to rejet.

You could use plexiglass or metal flashing to build a type of splash guard too. I see a guy with a banshee in a mud bog contest with pods. He skimmed the top with paddles and won...lol. He use some metal flashing and built a nice splash guard and still had some water repel. Not something you'd want to keep hitting water with though.

You can get the stock boxes cheap on ebay. Just get a proflow adaptor or silicone and bolt the stock plate into it. It's a terrible design.

Foam uni pods will help repel water much better than K&Ns due to the foam filter oil (K&N oil and outerwear doen't repel water nearly as well) as well and they only cost about $25 shipped. Plus the foam filters dust way better too. You can also pick up a stock box cheap.
