liljohn095 Posted March 23, 2005 Report Posted March 23, 2005 I live in albany n,y, and have been trying different things over the past couple of weeks and i cant seem to get it right it seems to run the best with the needle in the 4th clip position with a stock pilot and a 280 main but with the air box lit on and snorcle off every time i take off the lid and go bigger on the mains i just seem to make it worse im running fmf fatties,powercore 2 silencers,single k&n filter with outerwears cover,dynojet needles and i want to remove the airbox lid. can somebody please help me or at least get me close ? racing season starts in 2 weeks and im starting to get very nervus please help im almost tempted to pay nacs racing to do it but i really cant afford it maybe i wont eat lunch this week and ill walk to work to save on the damn gas prices lol any suggestions r much apreciated thanks Quote

And you should be somewhere between 3/4 and 2.5 turns out on your mixture screws. The further out you come, the more air you're bleeding into the system. richybanshee Posted March 23, 2005 Report Posted March 23, 2005 Okay ... tell us: 1. your riding altitude 2. aprox. temperature 3. whole mod done to the bike (FMF pipes, 280 main s, needle 4th notch, 30 pilots, etc.) Lucky guess: if temp is around 75 farenheigth, altitude between sea level an 1500 feet, 280 mains, needle on 4th notch, 30 piots and no air box lid sounds good. But, at what throttle position the shee runs like crap? Quote
