NYCBanshee7 Posted March 18, 2005 Report Posted March 18, 2005 I'm looking into getting some MX tires, but dont know what to get. I have stock swingarm and need to know if anyone had good results with some different MX tires. Tried my buddies 18 inch MXR4's but they have a ton of tire spin. Thanks, Eric Quote
zilladude Posted March 19, 2005 Report Posted March 19, 2005 (edited) Any tire you put on a Shee is going to spin with the stock swinger. You need to invest in a -2". I have 19"MXR4's and they seem to hook up pretty good. I have a -2 arm on my Shee. Edited March 19, 2005 by zilladude Quote
H250RHATER Posted March 19, 2005 Report Posted March 19, 2005 ya what he said but i had the mxr4's and now i have razar mxs and the grip hard as hell i can grip in soft sand where i thought i would need paddels both tires are great tires on the side wall of the razars they have some nobby's so when you come out of a slide in the turn they tend to hit hard Quote
bansheefreestyler Posted March 21, 2005 Report Posted March 21, 2005 i have 18 inch kenda klaw mxr(i think) on my shee. reall good tires. you can flip em and run the treads backwards Quote
BansheeBoy17 Posted March 23, 2005 Report Posted March 23, 2005 I run the cheapest tires, and they seem to be the best. Grab yourself a set of turf tamers and groove them. Should be good to go Quote
Rare Scottish Tree Badger Posted March 27, 2005 Report Posted March 27, 2005 i have 18 inch kenda klaw mxr(i think) on my shee. reall good tires. you can flip em and run the treads backwards 342314[/snapback] I'm on these aswell, they hook up great! I just got the fronts to match, but I've not been out since i put them on. Rare. Quote

How is the wear on the Razr MX's? Quote
Wassup350 Posted April 17, 2005 Report Posted April 17, 2005 For the money i'd say Turf Tamers are hands down the best value. MXR4s are suppose to hook up great but ive heard different opinions. Right now i run Titan fast trekers and they hook up awesome and corner very well. I'd stay away from maxxis tires from my experience they are fairly heavy. Quote
NYCBanshee7 Posted April 18, 2005 Author Report Posted April 18, 2005 My buddy just got back from the track with his new 18 inch MXR4's and he said they are awesome. But he does have Elka ZPS's all around also. Quote

NEVER SATISFIED Posted April 19, 2005 Report Posted April 19, 2005 i am runnin 20" mxr's and a bigger front sprocket... if the track is slippery i run a even bigger sprocket.. hooks up really well.. i like it!!!... i diditn want to spend the money on a -2 swinger Quote
owlwheels Posted May 17, 2005 Report Posted May 17, 2005 I also run the Fast Trekkers...I have riden them on the track mostly...but the perform very well in quite a few different terrains. I run the razon MX on front and they are great...i am going to try their rears when the Trekkers wear out. Quote
Mxzdan Posted May 24, 2005 Report Posted May 24, 2005 I like the razr tires they work pretty good Quote
