FlatTrackinIt55 Posted March 17, 2005 Report Posted March 17, 2005 a bike needs 3 things to run, 1. Air.. is it getting air?? if so go on. 2. Spark if its not getting spark your fuael and air cant do squat.. and 3. fuel.. without fuel it has no go go juice to it. so mak sure it has fuel and air and if it doesnt have spark id try and borrow one from another banshee and see if it runs, on the retail im not sure of a stocker but a dyna fs runs i think like 300?? i know i like mine. frocashmoney24 Posted March 17, 2005 Report Posted March 17, 2005 yup, air fuel and spark is what it needs to run, do a spark test, that'll see if thats your spark problem, if you have someone near by to let you borrow a cdi i would do that, if not, i have one off a 96 in great condition for 110 shipped. comes with wiring harness. bansheefreestyler Posted March 17, 2005 Author Report Posted March 17, 2005 its getting air and gas but no spark. whats the advantages to going to an aftermarket cdi? and hey frocash if i need one ill shoot you a pm Quote
RNBRAD Posted March 17, 2005 Report Posted March 17, 2005 You need to check stator and coil resistance parameters. If they are ok then yes it will more than likely be your cdi. Though don't replace it untill you check the other 2. Do a search if you need the specs and how to test them. I posted it before in another thread. Quote
PUSH THE THROTTLE Posted March 17, 2005 Report Posted March 17, 2005 If you go to an aftermarket cdi it will constantly adjust your timing curves differently such as +4 at 4000rpm and +2 at 8000rpm, I Quote
bansheefreestyler Posted March 17, 2005 Author Report Posted March 17, 2005 i dont think its my stator though. pulled the cover off and everything was dry and looked like it had just came right out of the box Quote
PUSH THE THROTTLE Posted March 17, 2005 Report Posted March 17, 2005 From what you had said before I Quote
