tbigboy Posted March 15, 2005 Report Posted March 15, 2005 Well, another dune trip, another quirk in my Shee. Last time out my front left wheel turned 90 degrees to the left. It was perpendicular to the bike. It was stuck so hard that I couldn't turn it back using the handle bars. Had to get off the bike and pick up the wheel to turn it by hand. Any ideas as to why this happened? Wanna fix it ASAP! Quote
bigboybanshee Posted March 15, 2005 Report Posted March 15, 2005 I would imagine that something is bent. Check your tie rods or anything else that plays a role with steering for bends. If nothing is bent, I believe there is a steering stop that you can buy to prevent the wheel from turning too much Quote
PUSH THE THROTTLE Posted March 15, 2005 Report Posted March 15, 2005 My J-arm frame used to do that. You think your gonna die for a few seconds. The reason is that your steering stem stop (on the frame) is either worn out or bent you can either beat it back into place or have someone weld it up so that your wheel won Quote
. Posted March 15, 2005 Report Posted March 15, 2005 what he said, beat it back, weld a bracket in to keep it there. Quote
