rockgc9 Posted March 14, 2005 Report Posted March 14, 2005 The neighbor is prolly at the dealer as we speak looking at banshee's now. Either that or he is out buying some mods so he can think he stands a chance. Quote
01bansheeke Posted March 14, 2005 Report Posted March 14, 2005 If it was me, i'd shave the head(unless you got the coin to get a aftermarket head, if so hit up noss machine), get more air to that motor with a K&N and outerwear. If you don't ride in the mud, get rid of that airbox and get some pod filters. Advance your timing with a TIMING plate. don't get those degree keys, notorius for shearing off. Get an adjustable timing plate, stick it on +4. Then get some pipes and get all that air you got coming in, out. I think toomey's would be good with these mods. You can pick them up on ebay pretty often for 2-300 bucks. Quote

gixxer_sixxer Posted March 15, 2005 Author Report Posted March 15, 2005 I when by and picked up a K&N this afternoon (cheap and easy). I'm wanting to get a Noss head and buy a fly wheel and have it worked over - I dont wanna use mine on the bike, because I don't want any down time. But I think my next buy will be pipes. And eventually I wanna get the blue body plastics - match my truck then (lol) Quote

rocketboy Posted March 16, 2005 Report Posted March 16, 2005 build a sleeper motor: get black painted t5s, cut stock head, advance timing ,boyseen carbon reeds, full drag porting,no airbox lid k&n ,all black motor.do all this then go up t o him again and tell him you just changed your plugs from a b8es to a b7es then drag him again ,and laugh your ass off when hes 15 bike lengths behind in a short race ,then ask him if his pto was on his glorified tractor? They really open up the powerband. You'll really smoke him with pipes. Quote
bansheeryder_69 Posted March 18, 2005 Report Posted March 18, 2005 Pipes and K&N pod filters if you don't ride mud. I probably would say go with the majority and get some fmf fatties. Quote
