Mod Banshee Posted March 8, 2005 Report Posted March 8, 2005 Ok right now my Banshee is at 125lbs with a 21cc dome could I go to a 19 cc dome in my cool head and still run pump gas? Quote
racer Posted March 8, 2005 Report Posted March 8, 2005 cant say for sure just yet. are you ported, any timing advance, and what altitude are you at? need to know those things, but probably not. 20's are a safe bet though. Quote
Mod Banshee Posted March 8, 2005 Author Report Posted March 8, 2005 I have the sportport Porting from Race logic Now but I am going to be getting the Superstock porting from Race Logic. And I also have the Vitos Trail Degree Key. I am not sure about the altitude but I live in NY Quote

Mod Banshee Posted March 9, 2005 Author Report Posted March 9, 2005 Could I get away with 20cc domes and still run pump gas? Quote
NEVER SATISFIED Posted March 9, 2005 Report Posted March 9, 2005 here's what david noss from noss machined heads told me... QUOTE FROM THE MAN HIMSELF: At Little Sahara, you would be okay with 20cc domes as long as you don't advance your timing. At Glamis you would need to run 50/50 or 100LL Av Gas. Around Dallas, you would be borderline with premium pump. You could check your compression after installation and see if it is above 155. The price difference between premium pump gas and the 100LL isn't very much around here, about 20 cents per gallon. It has the octane, lead, and stores for a long time without going sour. If you installed 21cc domes you would be okay with premium pump at any elevation but wouldn't gain quite as much performance. LIL SAHARA IS ABOUT 800 ABOVE SEA AND DALLAS IS ROUND 500.. GLAMIS IS ROUND 1000' ABOVE.. HOPE THIS HELPS Quote
Mod Banshee Posted March 9, 2005 Author Report Posted March 9, 2005 (edited) I will try the 20cc and if it is to high I will go back to the 21cc. Just how high can I go befor I have to run race gas? I am at 125 now? And all I am going to do is Go from a 21cc Dome to a 20cc Dome and I also am going from the Sport Port From Race Loigc to the Super Stock Porting from Race loigc Edited March 9, 2005 by Mod Banshee Quote
NEVER SATISFIED Posted March 9, 2005 Report Posted March 9, 2005 i believe once you get over the 155 range.. 160 is def race or AV gas mix 50/50 Quote
