cjm02ram Posted March 3, 2005 Report Posted March 3, 2005 Looking to put the Banshee on alky. What is the best way to it it? Convert the PWK35 I have or new ones? Should I go with a fuel pump? I dont know much about alky so any help would be helpfull. Thanks Quote
enFORCER Posted March 4, 2005 Report Posted March 4, 2005 I ran a 350 last year on alky... I ran Mikuni 36mm carb's.... I could have run 34's.... So your carb's should be fine... Just have them converted by someone who knows what they are doing... I didn't run a fuel pump on the 350, but I will be running one on my new motor this year....You will need to install a pingel fuel petcock on your tank, if you already haven't done so.... Hopefully I will have my Banshee all together in a few weeks and I will be going down to St. Joe state park..... Do you ever ride down there???? Quote
racer Posted March 4, 2005 Report Posted March 4, 2005 i hear its a good idea to factor in a new topend when dialing in a new alcohol setup. Quote
badcompany Posted March 4, 2005 Report Posted March 4, 2005 Like enforcer said, get somebody that knows what they are doing to convert your carbs. Also, I would highly recomend an EGT, this will help alot in getting it dialed in and keeping it from runnig to lean. Im not sure on the fuel pump thing, I would ask my builder or whoever converts my carbs. Quote

duecebanshees Posted March 4, 2005 Report Posted March 4, 2005 (edited) I would second nyuk's statement. " If your not strictly draggin I would not bother." Edited March 4, 2005 by duecebanshees Quote
