Recommended Posts

what is stock??? its all gonna depend on your riding and what not. do a compression test. see how much you have. that will tell it all right there. someone can prolly let us know what stock is and what the point is at which you need to rebuild. i havent been stock for so long i dont even know...

My 96 was still on stock til this last year when I rebuilt after a mishap of a most likely warped milled head.

I'm still on stock pistons, rings and bore. 'Shee had 135 to 140 lbs. of compression when I checked it about two months ago. But I'll probably put at least new rings and pistons in when I get it ported, hopefully within the next month!

Typicaly the Cylinders are bored then honed after getting a port job. so your going to need new stuff anyways.
