Skyy Posted February 21, 2005 Report Posted February 21, 2005 What is the difference between Stock reeds and v-force? The reason I'm asking is cause I was wondering if there was a way to improve stock reeds performance Quote
rocketboy Posted February 22, 2005 Report Posted February 22, 2005 theres a huge difference !stock reeds will never flow like a v force will ,but you can modify your stock cages and run carbon reeds and realize some power gain ,i have yet to test an intake that compares to v force 2 and ive tried every one except g3'sand from what i hear they suck . ssanddemon Posted February 22, 2005 Report Posted February 22, 2005 Install a V-Force with other engine mods like pipes and porting. No mods = no gain with the V-Force; just my experience. Quote
MotulMonsta Posted February 22, 2005 Report Posted February 22, 2005 You at least want a good set of pipes before you drop money into your intake. Stock reeds are fine for stock. V-force won't be worth a damn with stock carbs and pipes. V-force has 2 sets of reeds per cage, theory is the reeds flex less due to the steeper angle the two sets of reeds are placed. Bue to the decrease in reed travel, life is extended and flow is increased. It works as good as they say and reeds so far have lasted me 3 years. Stock reeds lasted 1 season at best. Quote
