i have an 87 banshee that i am totally redoing from the frame up, im goin to the black and chrome stage and my stock carbs are shot the caps, there are no threads at all i have them bungie tied in..so i got on ebay and saw a set off of an 04 and watched it and went up to around 60 bucks with shipping so i ordered them and got them today now im worried if their gonna work they look kinda different and i dont remember there being a plug like this on my carbs, which im sure their updated since then and my stock carbs and tors are at my buddies garage so i figured i would ask if 04 carbs will work on an 87. but i was also thinking that if anything i could get hte tors eliminator kit!? and would probably solve it...id say i need it anyway.......thanks for the help -josh

Your 87 carbs have the tors eliminator kit installed. You can use the parts on the new carbs( tops/ idle screws). You will need the correct drill bit & tap to install the idle screws. I am sure someone knows what size bit & tap to use.

DUDE THE CARBS WILL WORK, I HAVE A 87 WITH 2002 CARBS(EBAY) MINE RUNS GREAT. NOT SURE ON WHAT SIZE DRILL BIT BUT ON THE SIDE OF THE CARBS YOU NEED TO DRILL A HOLE AND TAP THREADS IN IT SO THE IDLE SREWS WILL SCREW IN TO SET YOUR IDLE.THE TORS UNIT SETS THE IDLE,GETTING RIDE OF THAT MEANS YOU HAVE TO INSTALL THIS KIT WITCH IS EASY.LET US KNOW HOW YOU MAKE OUT. :headbang:
