BigRed350x Posted February 13, 2005 Report Posted February 13, 2005 ok just finished putting a new top end on, had the same problem just before putting new top end on. When I am in any gear and kick it down to a lower gear my shee will bog real bad, and the only way I can get it back on the pipe is if I hold the throttle wide open, then it takes about 2 to 3 seconds before it gets on the pipe. I think it might be too rich? Stock Pipe Stock Head K&N Clamp on w/ no lid on airbox Ported Elev. = 8000ft. TORS removed but I don't have that little idle kit. Quote
Capone Posted February 13, 2005 Report Posted February 13, 2005 (edited) Please list your current settings: Main & Pilot Jets: Needle Clip: Edited February 13, 2005 by VitoBanshee Quote
FIRST BANSHEE Posted February 13, 2005 Report Posted February 13, 2005 A flat spot before coming onto the pipe usually indicates a lean pilot jet. on a stock air box the lid holds the filter in place, without the lid the filter can move around, make sure that is secure also. Quote
Banchetta Posted February 14, 2005 Report Posted February 14, 2005 I've seen a rich needle do what your describing. try lowering the needle one clip towards the blunt end. Should clear up. Quote
BigRed350x Posted February 15, 2005 Author Report Posted February 15, 2005 Went From 210 mains to 200 and top end is better, but still have the bog when shifting down. Mains 200 Pilots (I can't get the float pin out, is there a trick to it?) I'm guessing stock. Needle clip = 2nd from blunt end. What should I try next? - Jared Quote
