DUNEDEMON Posted February 11, 2005 Report Posted February 11, 2005 Yeah congrats, but I don't think you'll get a response from them here Led Quote
ledofthezep Posted February 11, 2005 Author Report Posted February 11, 2005 Nah...I'm not the only Zeppelin fan out there & don't expect them to pity me. I may be in the hardcore led-head category(as I sit here in my Zep shirt, hat, & jacket )...but when it comes down to it, I'm just your average joe. Just give'n props...they deserve it & really I'm surprised it took this long for them to get a Lifetime Acheivment Award. Quote

ledofthezep Posted February 11, 2005 Author Report Posted February 11, 2005 Led Zeppelin...Simply the greatest rock band their ever was or will be, bar none.I saw them twice in concert. Once at Candlestick Park in I think 1979, the Eagles opened for them. And in 1994 I saw Page and Plant at the San Jose Arena (where the Sharks play). I had 3rd row middle seats for that one. It was awesome and I'll never forget it. That's frigg'n awesome man! That kicks ass! I've only had the luxury of seeing Plant & the Strange Sensation...it was a moving experience to say the least. I swear I was born 30yrs too late. Quote

red ore Posted February 12, 2005 Report Posted February 12, 2005 What other group can anyone think of that is played several times on the classic rock stations. I listen to 3-6 different stations every day driving the truck around the great northland, and I ALWAYS hear 4-5 Zeplin songs every day, usually not the same one over either. all these years later, what other band gets the air time they do? NOONE.... Im not a fan of theirs at all (too soft and mushy shit for me) But they have some of the best playable music. Name one song that isnt played on the radio of theirs.... Quote
