Deeooo Posted February 7, 2005 Report Posted February 7, 2005 This last weekend out the bike was running good and then all of the sudden it started running like crap, and alot of gas/oil and smoke was pouring out of the right side. when I got home I tore down the carbs and found that main jet had somehow come unscrewed and was just sitting there... well now that I got it fixed was just wondering if I would need to somehow clean out that side since there is still alot of oil/gas in it, or if I should just run the bike and let it blow it self clean... Thank you for your responces Quote
Lepew Posted February 7, 2005 Report Posted February 7, 2005 If it will start and run on both cylinders, run it clean. I've forgot the plugs on the carbs for when I wash my bike and then tried to start it.The engine flooded itself. I had to kick it over with the plugs pulled then put a new set of plugs in. When it started there was raw gas spitting out the silencers but it cleaned out. Quote
Deeooo Posted February 7, 2005 Author Report Posted February 7, 2005 Ok thank you, It did kick over and start it was also spewing raw fuel all over the place but I wanted to ask before I let it keep running...didnt want to mess anything up. Quote
