A couple freinds and I are planning to go to Moab this summer but yeah I've never been to glamis and want to BAD.  If you are in CO and like trail riding I know some pretty good places.  One is Daken Rd. down by Colo Sprngs and also St. Mary's Glacier is nice, you can ride over the top of the mountain and on the other side is Blackhawk.

Not on the glacier itself, I'm talking about the other side of the valley from the glacier. If you know anything about that area it's on the east side of the town of 94. There are people riding quads and dirt bike up there all the time. I go offroading in my truck up there every summer. My wife grew up in that town, her and her 3 brothers used to snowboard and ski St. Mary's. As a matter of fact my father in law still owns land up there. There are even trail markers that mark the way over to blackhawk.

I don't think they've opened the great sand dunes, I kinda doubt they ever will.  Not sure I believe this rumor or not but heard from someone that they may try to close down walden!  If they do, there almost won't be a need to have a quad anymore besides trail riding, but I'm a dune rider DAMN IT!

Not sure how I missed this thread  must be too much beer. It would be freakin neat if they opened up the great dunes, but I agree with you, they prolly never will. I've been going to Walden since I was about 5 years old, and it seems like the rumor of it getting shut down has been floating around forever. It actually was shut down once that I can remember, late 70s or early 80s  Not sure how often ya go, but a bunch of us are planning to hit Mexi-fest, two weeks after Memorial Day.

Iam from Loveland and Iam always looking for some place to ride. Been to VDR and was kinda disapointed, i found I don't like tracks. Went out to Pawnee and that was kinda cool, helped take the edge off. Mex fest at Walden is good and iam going to try and hit that up but a bunch of friends and I are trying to get a trip going for memorial weekend in Utah. Sand dunes here I come

Right on! I work in Berthoud and live in Drake up the Big Thompson canyon. I know what ya mean about VDR, the tracks more for 2 wheelers and the riders out there don't seem to care for us 4 wheelers too much.

The land owners and damn tree huggers are doing their best to shut down most of the riding areas, but there's still some places to go if ya know where to look.

Where in Utah you goin? Keep in touch... we can have some brews at Mexi fest.

We do a lot of different types of flavors. We like to experiment sometimes too, we made a Pablano Chili Beer once that was excellent!

A personal favorite of mine is an American Cream Ale, light beer but we git er done with around 7.5% alchy!!

Yeah I just got the shee put back together, I spent about 3 months on it. I skipped the expense of powdercoating this time for other parts and planed to have it done next time I take her apart and then a week after I got it completely done, my neighbor told me a friend of his has a powder coat machine and a sand blaster, he told me this guy is just begging people to bring something to him to powdercoat and said he would do it for me for free!!! Oh well I

We are gonna try to go to Little Sahara, depending on fuel prices. I have only ridden in walden so I cant wait to get into some sand where we can really run. In the next couple weeks we are going to try to get up to walden just to run out bugs and get a head start on the season. A couple of my buddies have had theirs apart or made some changes so we rather do all the tuneing/breaking in close by. We all can hook up at mex fest, I think I like that weekend the best so Im really going to try and make it this year.
