I just tore my banshee down because it was slipping out of 2nd gear. I found that the shift fork was bent and burnt. I also replaced the shift drum, it had lots of wear. While the cases wear split it shifted into gear properly and engaged into gear properly. I just got it running tonight and the big pile of shit does the same thing it did before. Can anyone help me on this matter? Trust me I'm not partial to yamaha and I will be riding a diferent brand very soon if I don't get this figured out.

Did you replace both gears (gear, 2nd wheel and gear 6th)? If not the dogs and slots are worn and rounded over and that would cause it to pop out of gear.
