the last number is the diameter of the rim and that has to be, but the width is something that you can get based upon your needs. You want a wheel that's narrower than the tire because it helps 1) to keep the bead on the wheel at lower pressures and 2) protect the wheel from the tire bulge.

 

Typically, a rear would be 10x8 and a front would be 10x5. I prefer a 9" rear wheel, but that's me. MX'ers like an 8" wheel.

yea, and i actually meant 10x9 previously. that's what i'm running with 20x11x9's
