g-force Posted February 11, 2005 Author Report Posted February 11, 2005 R u fouling plugs when you putt around? 321551 i never foul plugs, just sputtering before full throttle.i thought about a longer needle, but i've heard bad things about them from some guys on here. i might try lowering needle to 1st clip and see what happens. Banchetta Posted February 11, 2005 Report Posted February 11, 2005 If the 1st clip runs even better, than I'd check to see what size pilots you have and go from there.. Quote

Banchetta Posted February 11, 2005 Report Posted February 11, 2005 Pilots affect mostly idle to 1/4 throttle, but do have an affect all the way to wide open throttle. The carbs pull fuel from them at all times...Usually a needle that'll run on the 4th clip w/ a stock pilot will run on the 2nd or 3rd clip w/ a 30 pilot...Do you feel the need to open the throttle a little to start it after its warmed up?? Banchetta Posted February 11, 2005 Report Posted February 11, 2005 no, usally starts 1st kick 321630 Pilots sound pretty good then, try the needle first and adjust the air screws to see where they like to be, that'll kind of hint to you whether you need to up or down the pilots.....adjust them to throttle response. you can do this in neutral...
