I am thinking about heading to dumont dunes in a few weeks. I am from northern california and am wondering what the quickest was is to get to dumont.

Also are they pretty strict on the spark arrestors and stuff? I have toomeys and didn't really want to have to get a hush kit, what would be my chances if I didn't have one?

Any information would help a lot.

Located off the 15 Fwy about an hour south of Vegas, when you get to the thriving metropolis of Baker Ca ( you know, the worlds tallest thermometer, Bun Boy resturant, etc..) head west about 20 miles on the entrance road to Death Valley and you'll see it ...

I think their is 2 motels in baker, Pahrump has some casino's and some motels.  Pahrump is 5mins farther than going to baker, also pahrump has walmart, honda dealership, yamaha etc..

I have relatives in Pahrump. The place aint to bad for being some town in the middle of nowhere. Lost some money @ Terribles Casino. Who ever said always bet on black was full of shit. Me and my cousin lost like $200 betting on roulette.

id take the 395 south till it dead ends at the 15 then go north 60 miles to baker you can take all kinds of highways to get from the 5 across cali to the 395............ or you could take the 395 to the 58 to the 15 and land right in baker....when you see the signs for baker you'll see the 127 go west(or left) for 31 miles and you'll be at dumont........ theres BLM rangers, bring a spark arrestor just in case.....get gas in baker cause theres none there......they charge to get in too.....tallest dunes you'll find in california though......
