kenr74 Posted January 16, 2005 Report Posted January 16, 2005 Ok I know somebody here must have the Trinity 2-1 CV setup. Just wondering what your jetting is and what mods you have. I am trying one out with the 33PWK and my poor bike does not like it. I'm guessing that I'm too rich since my left side plug keeps getting so wet it won't run. I'm at 50 on the pilot and 175 for the main. Quote
KRMit Posted January 17, 2005 Report Posted January 17, 2005 I'm running 48/185, but that's with the 35PWK. If it cranks and idles fine leave the pilot alone for now and concentrate on the needle and main. Do a WOT test to see if the main is right, then just change the needle clip position up and down until you find the sweet spot. Quote
sredish Posted January 17, 2005 Report Posted January 17, 2005 That 50 pilot is probably a little rich. back it off to a 48 and see how shee does. Where are you having problems, at idle, at full throttle? We need to know that info. Quote
kenr74 Posted January 17, 2005 Author Report Posted January 17, 2005 Yeah, I'm thinking that it is rich but it also sounds like most people are in the 50's for pilots so I wasn't sure. It is bogging right off of idle so that is why I was leaning towards being rich. I think I'll pick up some pilots on the way home and see what it does tonight. Quote
sredish Posted January 17, 2005 Report Posted January 17, 2005 Yea, I'd lean your pilot one and see how it changes things. What's your clip in? Change the pilot and get back man. Quote
Wallrat Posted January 17, 2005 Report Posted January 17, 2005 Also where's your airscrew set at? Quote
kenr74 Posted January 18, 2005 Author Report Posted January 18, 2005 Ok, I leaned the pilot way out. Dropped it to a 42 and it is nice and snappy with the air screw 2 turns out. It feels like it isn't revving out all the way though so I'm guessing the top is still rich. I had it on the middle clip and was ok. Dropped it to the 4th from top and it got worse. Raised it to the 2nd from the top and it got better but still isn't winding out like it should. Am I on the right track? Thanks for all the help by the way. I had my stockers perfect so it has been a while since I worried about jetting. Quote

The only way to tell for sure on the main is to do a WOT test. Just ask if you need help with that. The needle regulates fuel flow the most at half-throttle. It doesn't do much at no throttle or full throttle. One thing I've noticed with the single carb is that it doesn't quite rev out as high. I thought it was the jetting at first but I think that's just the sacrifice you make. Quote
triple B Posted January 18, 2005 Report Posted January 18, 2005 i have one on my 02 shee i run 170 main 45 pilot and needle in the middle postion try that it should work fine i was havinthe sam prob wher mine would not even idle so i talked to a friend of mine at trinity and thats what he canged the jetting to and works great now.. I almost think that I'm going the wrong way and I need to bump up the main. It is stumbling at full throttle like it wants to rev further but can't. It is almost like it's jumping if that makes any sense. I'll pick up some new mains tomorrow and see what happens. Quote
kenr74 Posted January 19, 2005 Author Report Posted January 19, 2005 Well, I got some new mains. Tried everything from 180 down to 172 and it seems better the lower I go so I'll keep heading that way. Still won't rev out clean but it is getting better, slowly. Quote
SAMUNOWAY Posted January 21, 2005 Report Posted January 21, 2005 I'm running the CV33 with 168 main, 40 pilot and DEK needle in the 3rd clip. Runs great. Only mods I have are pipes, open k&n and +4 timing. Quote
